Applying for Study: Important datesUndergraduate applicationsIn most states, applications generally open in August and on-time applications close in late September. Often it is possible to apply up til January but extra fees apply. Usually it is possible to change your preferences (the course you wish to apply for and second or third preferences in case no place is available) until December. For some courses, final applications close much earlier, so it is important to check the exact dates with the tertiary admissions centre for your state:
Postgraduate applicationsPostgraduate students may have to apply through the tertiary admissions centre or directly to the university. Often the closing dates for applications are different to undergraduate applications. See websites for each university for further information. International studentsInternational students generally apply directly to the institution. See our list of links to Australian universities and colleges for contact details. Mid year entryIf it's too late to apply for the beginning of 2007, it is possible to start some courses in the second semester of the year. Check with the tertiary admissions centre for your state (links above) for further details. |
